For more than 20 years, INRA has been associated with the foresters to put in place cultivars testing networks.

INRA researchers have selected 3 cultivars that are in the process of being marketed: GARDELINE, MONTEIL and AMELINE. These cultivars, all of them selected varieties reproduced by means of a vegetative process, distinguish themselves from other wild cherry trees by their vigour, their uprightness, their geographical adaptability and their resistance to disease.
