FIELD CROP SECIES Range

Winter wheat for bread making: KORELI shows interesting characteristics due to the fact that it combines productivity, adaptability and bakery quality.
This is an obvious asset for farmers anxious to product quality products, and making sure to better preserve not only the environment, but also their income.

Flax is one of the crops which use the fewest chemically. It has a low requirement for nitrogen, and more than half of it is provided by the soil itself, making for a crop which is adapted to sustainable development.

INRA has contributed to the development of quality production networks, whether it be for green lentils in the Puy region (AOC) and in the Berry (Red Label and IGP), or more recently for the blond lentil from Saint Flour (Red Label and IGP in the pipeline). These partnerships are an example of development and a model of enhancing the value of a production which highlights its qualities linked to the area production and to know-how.
HORTICULTURAL Range

The FOLFER, cherry tree, early maturing, firm, dark coloured, crisp and sweet, won the oscar for variety creation during the SIFEL Show in 2006. Resulting from INRA’s improvement programme, it is one of the five new cherry varieties which offer interesting characteristics for producers and consumers: large size, firm texture, good organoleptic qualities and agronomic performance of the highest level.

The ARIANEapple variety, through its natural resistance to scabbing, makes it possible to use less pesticides. This environmental approach, which is more respectful of ecosystems, has won over numerous producers and makes ARIANE currently one of the most planted varieties in France.

The LUTECE® elm is a joint creation of INRA and Wageningen Institute (NL). Resistant to the Dutch elm disease which wiped out the species in France, it is the result of a complex crossing, but has all the characteristics of the European variety. LUTECE ® has also been selected for its aesthetic qualities, both for wooded hedges and for straight line hedges.
